Pregnancy & a cold = ROUGH!

My last post was the last day that I could smell or
taste anything up until today! I came down with
an awful cold last Tuesday...and of course with
me being pregnant, they would only let me take
Tylenol Cold and Sinus, which did absolutely
nothing...I was so miserable! I couldn't sleep,
couldn't breathe, and had no appetite! Even the
baby didn't move alot last week...guess it was
showing me some mercy! haha I had a checkup on
Monday and I had lost some weight, which I
explained why..I go back on January 4th so I'm
sure by then the scales will tell a different
story! Baby is getting so big that now I feel
feet up in my ribs and lots of movement...weighs
about 4 1/2 pounds now too! We are trying to
get the nursery ready for the big arrival but
I am such a procrastinator! It's hard for me
to pick out things before they get here..but
I better get motivated! Maybe after Christmas!

Allie's First Christmas!

 

 

 

I had a RARE chance to take some family
pictures last night of my sister and
her family! It's hard to believe that
only a year ago my sister looked like
me! Allie is almost 10 months now!
Time flies by! It was getting close
to bedtime but I managed to get a
few good shots!

Christmas Fun!

Bruce's Christmas party at JSU was last night!
It was a wonderful meal and we had a great time.
I got a few quick pics of us before heading out
and I look huge in this picture! Baby is getting
so big!

Baby Walsh @ 31 Weeks!

 

 

 

 

Christmas came early for us! We got to see
our sweet baby today on the 4d ultrasound!
This child is very stubborn and did not
want to move it's hand at all! We took a
break and then got 2 good face pictures!
Baby has a little bit of hair, big feet
like it's daddy, and a prominent nose! haha!
It was so neat to see the baby moving
and wiggling around! What a blessing!

Growing and growing!

Here we are at 30 weeks! Waiting on the best
gift of all! I almost didn't put up the tree
this year...it took about twice as long as
it did last year! Bruce helped me out though..
we are getting so excited about this baby!
It's so hard to believe how fast the
pregnancy has gone by!

10 weeks to go!

I LOVE this shirt..I think if Baby could talk,
this is what it'd say! I am 30 weeks now! It
is ten times worse than waiting for Christmas!
I am so ready to meet our child! We are having
the 4d ultrasound on Dec. 11...I am so excited
to see some facial features! We are really
thinking about trying to take one last trip
before it comes...a "babymoon" if you will,
just to kind of clear our heads before the
big arrival! I was asked today if I thought
I would deliver early..and my answer was this:
I carry extremely low, and with all the
Braxton-Hicks contractions I've had, I would
love to think that the baby would come sooner
than Feb. 8th! Who knows! We have birthing
class on Saturday and Infant care class on
Tuesday, so hopefully we will feel a little
more prepared:)

Kim & Cody's Engagement!

 

 

 

 

Well even though I'm 7 months along,
I'm still taking pictures! I shot
Kim and Cody's Engagement photos today.
Kim used to work with Natalie at Ronnie
Watkins Ford and is such a sweetheart!
They are such a cute couple and are
getting married next fall!

Happy 9 Months!

 

 

 

Little Miss Allie turns 9 months old
tomorrow! It's is so hard to believe
how fast she is growing! She is
crawling everywhere and can even pull
up on the couch and on your pantsleg!
She starts daycare Monday at Meadowbrook
Baptist Church. I am sad that I won't be
keeping her in the evenings anymore, but
it's getting harder and harder to chase
after her, especially at 7 months along!

Eli's 2nd Birthday!

 

 

 

 

My little cousin Eli had a big birthday
party on Saturday! It was at the Party
Zone in Gadsden. It was so much fun!
Even Natalie and Baby Allie got in on
the festivities! Eli and his mommy, my
cousin Julie, helped blow the candles
and he got lots of good toys! Happy
Birthday little man!

Almost There!

Well I've reached the third trimester today! I'm
28 weeks along..and the countdown is on! We have
registered for a childbirth class on Dec. 5th, as
well as an Infant Care class on Dec. 7th. I am
checking out videos and books at the library to
I feel as prepared as I possibly can! I am very
nervous about the whole labor/delivery process,
but I know that it will all be ok! I can't wait
to meet this sweet little baby that is starting
to kick very very hard! My whole belly will move
around 9 pm every night...I am having a harder
time sleeping and have less and less energy...
which is all part of the process...I hope these
last few weeks fly by!!

I have to give a huge "THANK YOU" to my
friend Stevi...she scanned me the other
night...you know how us "imaging" folks
are...I just had to get one more peek
at my baby..not sure yet if I will
have a 4-d ultrasound since they
are $250...so anyways...apparently
my child is camera-shy...it put
its little arms up over it's face
and would wiggle it's fingers..
like it was teasing me & Daddy..
Baby has very long legs...they
actually measure what a 30 wk
old baby's would...and we never
could get a "profile" picture...
oh well! Looks like someone is
going to be oh so stubborn!!!

My Birthday!

I turned the big "27" on November 3! I had
a birthday dinner at Pasghetti's that night
with family and friends! Then Saturday,
Bruce and I went down to Tuscaloosa to
tailgate w/ the Cajuns! We had a great time
and there is nothing like being in God's
Country!

Getting ready for Baby!

A big "THANK YOU" to my Aunt Pam and Uncle
Jack for letting us borrow this beautiful
crib! Daddy-to-be put it together the night
we got it! Now all we need is a sweet
little bundle of joy! We're in the third
trimester now and baby weighs 2.5 lbs!

Ready for Santa!

Ok so I'm a little partial...but this is
simply adorable! My sweet niece Allie got
her picture made w/ Santa last Saturday
at my cousin's studio, Tara Maddox
Photography, and is this not precious???
I can't wait to see her at Christmastime!

Signs of Fall!

 

 

 

 

Bruce has been on a "nature" kick recently...
The walking is good for us I know...but my
lovely back can't hardly take it...maybe
because of all the weight in front:) we
took the camera along to capture the
beautiful colors of fall...I really do
love this time of year! Mainly due to
the colors, the cooler temperatures,
my birthday (November 3) and of course
the amazing Alabama Football team! We
are going to the LSU game next weekend
for my birthday and I can't wait!!

Dylan is a senior at Appalachian High,
near Oneonta. His mom, Connie, and I
worked together at the South Bend Clinic!
She flies down every weekend to see
him play football...so she emailed me
to take his senior pics one weekend. I
wasn't sure if the weather would cooperate,
but by yesterday afternoon it was actually
pretty nice! These were taken at the Falls
and even though it was very crowded, I still
managaed to get some great shots!

6 Months!

 

 

 

The future parents are getting ready! Just
3 months left...where has the time gone???
Natalie helped me finish up the registery
at Target today..she was such a big help!
Bruce and I attempted to do it but it was
basically the blind leading the blind lol..
we are borrowing Natalie's bassinet, boppy,
and other goodies which we got today..and
we are getting the nursery ready..we are
so excited and can't believe it's almost
time! I take the glucose test at my next
visit (yuck) and we are attending a
birth class in December! Baby kicks alot
at night and my wardrobe is definitely
shrinking, but it's so much fun to know
that there's a little one coming:)
