I'm sorry I have been such a bad blogger lately...my only
excuse is that I'm packing up for Dad ...we are almost
through though...this weekend is the big move! Should
be lots of fun! Anyhow...Bruce is doing great out in
the big Gulf of Mexico..he watches the sun come up
when his shift is over...he has to cook without any
recipes...so yours truly has looked up a few for him..
I knew all his cookbooks would be of use someday! He
got to see some sharks the other day...I am so proud
of him for trying something "new"...I am a firm
believer that if you are not learning...you are not
living! I miss him terribly but I don't ever want
to stand in the way of his dreams...I keep a journal
that I write to him in...since we are limited to
5 minute phone calls (boooooo)and we are planning
a beach trip when he gets back..we are both in need
of some R & R!!

My favorite subject!
I promised Allie's Mommy that I would take some new
shots of her in one of her new outfits...she is
becoming such a little ham! Pawpaw even got in on
the fun too! I will be keeping her all of next
week while our cousin Shea is on vacation! I'm
sure I will have much more to post!

Out to Sea!

This is a phone picture that Bruce sent me yesterday
when he got on the boat! They had a little rough
weather and had to come back in for a little while..
he got to fly on a helicopter today for the first
time...they finally got back out today...he gets
one five minute phone call per day...but I'm so
thankful! We were worried that we wouldn't even
get to talk at all..he will work 6 pm- 6 am..
and he even has people working under him since
he scored so high on his entrance test...there
is even a guy that does his laundry for him
while he works! He says he really likes it
so far...I am so proud of him!

GREAT NEWS!!!!
Ok...so I got a little nostalgic...but this is the 1st picture
of Bruce and me! It was taken at my 24th birthday at Pasghettis'
and yes he made that cake! That's when I knew he was the one!
hahahha just kidding..it was WAY before that...but
anyhow...our good news is that Bruce got a great offer
for a new job! He is on his way to
spend tomorrow with me and then head out to Louisiana on
Sunday night to report for work on Monday morning! He will
be gone for a month (boohoooooo) but off for two whole weeks
when he gets back! Our prayers have definitely been
answered and we are so thankful he was given this opportunity!

One day at a time..
Anyone that knows my family knows that there is alot going on
right now! I made the comment yesterday "who needs soap
operas when you have all this to deal with!". It is just
really stressful right now for everyone involved. Please
pray for myDad as he tries to get all his affairs in order.
Pray for my Mother for obvious reasons. Pray for me and my
husband as we deal with being apart. I still feel like a
newlywed and it is very hard to be so far away for long
periods of time. We may only have a few days with each other
if he gets a call for a job. Also say a prayer for my sister.
Allie Grace is such a good baby, but a baby is still hard work!
I kept her alot last week and got a crashcourse in Baby 101!
It really opened my eyes to what being a mommy would be like.
I know we will all be ok eventually, we just have to take it one
day at a time!

Good times in Trussville!
We had a great trip to Trussville Friday night to see
Confederate Railroad! Our friend Rusty plays with them
and they sounded GREAT! The weather was perfect and
we really enjoyed it! Hope to see them play again
soon!

Happy 1st Mother's Day, Sister!
I have to wish my little sis a big Happy Mother's Day!
Always the optimist, I am so proud of her and the wonderful
little mother she is! I even mentioned in her
card how she makes it look SO easy! I kept Miss Allie
all week long and let me tell ya, I was exhausted!
She is so precious though and I am SO very thankful
to have her during this difficult time! These are a
few shots I took the other day while keeping her.
She had just woke up from a nap and was all
smiles!

Vera Bradley!
We had SO much fun at the big sale! I got some really good deals!
Even though Bruce cringes when I go to Ft. Wayne, I actually
didn't spend as much this year..so he was happy too! I really
want to get a road trip up in October for the Fall sale!
The last picture was Kay & me at our "farewell" dinner. I will
miss her so much! She is a great person through and through and
so is her sweet family!

David's first visit to Chicago!
We had an AMAZING day in the City! We started out at
Sears Tower, on the 99th floor!
It was a beautiful day! Then we headed
to Navy Pier, had lunch at Bubba Gump, and
then made our way to Wrigley Field! Then we
headed to the Houndstooth Saloon!
We had a great time and then headed back to
South Bend for some "deep dish"
Chicago style pizza! It was soooo good! We got up
Sunday and stopped by
the Notre Dame campus and then made our way back to
Bama! Big thanks to David for coming up! He loved
Chicago just like I do , and we can't wait to go back!
Here is a link to all of our pictures!
