I borrowed this from Maddie's page...I have to brag on Natalie...she's the cutest pregnant bridesmaid ever! This was at Brittany and Michael's wedding yesterday..I can't believe these girls are getting married!!! I feel so old!! I just had to post this of Nat and all her friends...

Updating..

I thought I would update the blog since Valentine's Day is right around the corner...yes I love the holidays!! I am planning a big suprise for Mr. Walsh..I would tell ya'll but ....it's a secret!!! Not much to report here...ESPN was in town this weekend for the Notre Dame guy's basketball game (they lost:() and it's cold as usual...I am so sick of cold weather...it is supposed to warm up next week...35 degrees or so ...geez...I am feeling better...but Bruce's truck is still acting up..he is taking it in tomorrow to be checked out...hmm anything else? oh yeah ...I went to Babies-R-Us yesterday...soo much fun! I would've stayed longer but a big snow storm came and I had to head home..but I am going back before I fly home...baby Allie is almost here! I would LOVE to see some pictures from the baby shower! *wink*

When it rains, it pours

Looks like Chuck E Cheese was the best part of this week! Tuesday afternoon Kay & I got in trouble at work over some paperwork..not a good way to end the day..then I started getting a sore throat on that night and by Wednesday morning I woke up and was almost choking! My throat was swollen so bad I couldn't talk, and I was running a fever as well so I stayed home from work. So I was home all day and Bruce was working late but I got worred when at 9:00 he still wasn't home...so I called his mom and she was headed to get him because the truck wouldn't crank...so they had it towed to their house...it still won't work so we don't know what it wrong just yet...anyhow..I am feeling better today but my throat is still very scratchy! I hope I am not getting sick because I don't to have to use my time up..because I have to fly home in a few weeks to see a sweet little baby!

You're never too old....

 

Since Bruce has to work nights the rest of the week...he said we would go out for dinner and "have fun"...little did I know this is what he had in mind!!! I was none too happy when we pulled up to Chuck E Cheese...mainly because it was packed and we have no kids..not even the niece and nephews...so we went in and ordered a pizza..they had 2 huge birthday parties going...let's just say it was rowdy! But we finished our dinner and got some tokens and got to play a bunch of games..from basketball..to virtual jet-ski and rollercoaster rides...and even air-hockey (I won!) we had a really fun time and even though I don't remember ever even going there...I can see what the fuss is about! Guess you're never too old for a little fun!

Aren't they cute? I never get tired of seeing those two together...Jackson's face just lights up whenever Sara Catheryne comes over! It's the sweetest thing! I am playing around on Picasa again...getting ideas for my niece's announcement cards!!! I still can't believe my little sister is going to be a Mommy!!! I guess it makes me feel kinda old..haha..but I am going to have oh so much fun spoiling that little girl! It's almost time!!

My first trip to Innertubing!

I have went "tubing" in the Coosa...but never in the snow...it was SO much fun!!! A great way to get out and exercise as well..it was a "warm" 20 degrees today...the past two days were -10 and such...so we took advantage of it! I can't wait to go again!

I came across Nat's bridal pics...yes I know, I'm obsessed...I just really like this feature I guess..oh yeah...I booked senior portraits yesterday for in the spring! My coworker's son will be a senior next year...I am very excited...I haven't shot any seniors but I am looking forward to it!

For a brief minute ...haha...the sun came out and I snapped a few pictures...sorry for the screen door..but I wasn't going outside...it takes alot of work now...just going out...snow boots, gloves, scarves, jackets...ughgh...let's just say I have cabin fever in the worst way!

Well this is my poor car on Saturday night...the snow started on Friday afternoon...I believe the official count was close to a foot of snow! That is not cool at all!!! Tomorrow's forecast is calling for a blizzard..yay!! Haven't seen one of those since 1993!!!!! Hopefully it won't be that bad...we are supposed to go sledding on Saturday...I am tired of being indoors!!!

It's Shower Day!

 

Today is Nat's baby shower... as I sit here looking out the window at the snow (grrrr) I really wish I was at home for the big day! I know you have to miss some things when you live far away..but I still wish I were there...I am looking forward to flying back for Miss Allie's arrival though..Luckily I have a flight from back this summer when I was supposed to go with Mom & Dad to Florida and Hurricane Gustav had other plans..anyhow...I gave Natalie her present when I was home for Christmas..a Vera diaper bag with Allie's initials monogrammed on it...as well as a picture for the nursery ...it's brown and says "Princess" in pink....and a little pink onesie with a brown "A" monogrammed...I would like to learn how to sew and monogram one day...geez I never thought I'd say that one! Haha!

We went to watch Notre Dame vs Alaska tonight..it was so much fun..the Irish beat them 2-0! Thanks to Bruce's head chef for the tickets!

Of course we had to walk down towards the Theatre District...I wanted Bruce to see what a beautiful theatre that Dirty Dancing was in...I am so happy I got to see that play...and I am seriously thinking about taking up Ballroom dance...especially since this is my favorite movie..and my motivation for the gym is dropping! haha

We Love this Town!!!!

 

We had a BLAST in Chicago this weekend! It was so much fun...we took the good ole South Shore train on Friday and made reservations at the Essex Inn for the weekend..after we got settled in, we took a cab down to the Houndstooth Saloon to cheer on Bama in the Sugar Bowl...well that wasn't too hot but we still had a great time! Afterwards we went to Chinatown for some food...wow...that was like leaving the country! Saturday we got up and headed to the "Magnificent Mile"...along Michigan Avenue where the best shopping is...we shopped at all the greats..then headed to Gino's for some of that famous deep dish pizza...then we shopped some more and headed back to the hotel since we had an indoor pool we had to make use of it! Sunday we checked out and headed to the House of Blues for their "Sunday Gospel Brunch"...it was incredible!!! they had amazing food and an amazing concert...we felt like we had been to church when we left that house...some really great singers performed "O Happy Day" among other gospel fav's...then we headed out for more sightseeing and then headed back...I love how you can go to the same town over and over and never see the same things twice...it really is a neat place..but they don't call it the Windy City for nothin'!!!!

I just had to post a big CONGRATS to Codi & Landon, who got engaged on New Year's Eve!!! Landon was my neighbor growing up and Codi is one of my sister's best friends and is almost family haha...I can't believe they are all grown up now! I remember when Landon was a toddler!!! He was the cutest little boy! Man how time flies!
