Fun Times Ahead!!

Today was my farewell lunch at work. They did it up right too!
We had fried chicken, sloppy joes, and a bunch of other goodies.
I felt honored! Tomorrow is THE best sale of the year, the
Vera Bradley spring sale...we are heading out right after
work and I'm SO excited! I hope it's not the last one I
get to go to because it is so cool...words just can't explain
it...especially if you love the stuff like I do! Friday is
my last day at work and we are going out to dinner with my
friend and coworker, Kay, and her husband. I will miss
her so much! She has been a great person in and out the
workplace to me and Bruce! My cousin David is flying in late
Friday night as well...he and I are going to take the train
into Chicago and spend the day there! We will come back and
take him out "South Bend" style and Sunday we will go to Notre
Dame for a visit...then we will head to Sweet Home Alabama!
Hopefully Bruce will only be a few weeks behind...he had
a interview last weekend in Florida that went very well...
please pray that he gets the job and we aren't seperated for
months and months...I really feel like everything is going
our way...and though I don't fully understand it all right
now, I trust in God's time and that He is in control, and
not me! See YA'LL soon!

Comin' Home...

Due to some circumstances, we are going to move back to
Alabama. We have both been blessed with wonderful jobs
up here and while we worry about our future, we know
that right now the best place for us is back in Gadsden.
We have had a great time up here and feel so lucky to
have seen all the cool places we have while up here.
I am certain that the traveling isn't through...just
put on hold for a little while. I want to say thank
you to everyone who has sent me encouraging messages
through reading this blog! Ya'll will never know what
it means to me! I originally just started this thing
so I could post pictures of all the cool places up here,
never realizing it would be a sort of "therapy" for
me...I'd forgotten how much I loved to write! So a
big thanks to everyone that subscribes...and I will
definitely keep it up even though we are moving
back!

Blue & Gold Game 2009!!

What a treat! Bruce's sweet brother got us tickets to the
Notre Dame scrimmage! It was such a beautiful day and
I definitely needed a distraction from "Life" haha...we
got to see the players step off the bus, as well as a
front row seats for the game! We were even on the evening
news that night! The Irish looked so good and we hope
they have a great season!

 

 

 

 

The Taste of South Bend 2009!

 

 

 

 

We had such a great time Friday night! We got to go the
Taste of South Bend, a fundraiser for Ivy Tech
Community College in South Bend. The dinner was prepared
by the Culinary students there and we were entertained
by the Riley High School Orchestra! It was a very
fancy meal like the kind you have on a cruise and they
also had the Studebakers parked outside..they were
one of the big sponsors...thanks to Lynn for such a
wonderful evening!

Happy 50th Birthday, Don!

 

 

 

 

My father-in-law Don turned 50 on Thursday! Bruce decorated
the cake (haha) and we had a wonderful dinner! Check out
that ham! Baby Shawn was all about the balloons and Shannon
decided to keep the bowl of macaroni & cheese all to himself!

In a matter of minutes..

YOUR WHOLE LIFE CAN CHANGE!!!!

(insert big deep breath)

I'm not going into detail...because the details are still
being sorted out...but when you say your prayers at night,
say a few for me and my family! God promised He would not
put us through than we can handle, and I believe Him. All
I can hold onto right now is my faith in God and know
that He is in control. I am just thankful for a little
piece of heaven named Allie Grace. She keeps us going!

Her mommy is a bit sad since she has to go back to work...but
don't worry! I'm sure will Grandma will spoil her plenty!
