Just a Bad Day...

Ever had a bad day? That is about the nicest thing I can say about yesterday...I guess I should back up and say that it snowed Monday night...not the so-called "snow" that is pretty to watch and then it melts..I'm talking SNOW...that sticks to the ground, covers the car, etc...anyways I was very nervous about the predicted 1-3 inches of precipation...only because I have never really drove in it...but Bruce assured me that I would be fine and just take my time driving and keep more distance between cars...so I wake up yesterday morning and get ready for work...nothing could have prepared me for what I woke up to..it looked like a painting...beautiful white snow covered everything,but the problem is I have to fig get all the snow off the 4-Runner so I can get to work...well that presents a problem...since I have no shovel, broom, etc...so I wiped off the windows and got ready to leave...it took me twice the time to get to the office because I had to drive so slow...and I couldn't find a park...kinda aggrevating..well I made it through the day and by the time I left, the streets were fine and the snow was melting..so last night we go to Bruce's parents for dinner..and once we got home I noticed that the steps were too slippery..and dediced I would put some salt on the stairs..BAD IDEA...because I took two steps down and fell..I fell down on my left side and my mid-back caught the next couple of steps..needless to say I woke the neigbors..luckily Bruce was outside and heard me too...he helped me back up and helped me inside to assess the damage...just a couple of bruises...but it could've been much worse...I am becoming educated in snow 101.. now I know the importance of a snow brush, salting the stairs, and good snow boots!
