Here Come the Irish!
Friday was the first Notre Dame pep rally! It started at 6, so we got there early to make sure we got a ticket..it was free..but you had to present the ticket at the door. Well everyone had the same idea as us, because we got there at 4 and there was already a line of about 200 people! It was not bad though..the weather was beautiful and we met some really nice alumni while waiting..there ended up being a ton of people there by 5 when they opened up the ticket booth..but we ended up getting very good seats..everyone was so excited and you could just feel the adrenaline in the room...Notre Dame had a really bad season last year..but all their fans seemed very optimistic..including the head coach Charlie Weiss..he gave an awesome speech..there were some alumni players that spoke..and the class of 1953's national champions sat a few rows in front of us..Bruce had never been to a pep rally there...and of course I hadn't..so it was really a cool experience...and even though we didn't go to the game..we felt like a part of it...we will be there this weekend when they take on arch rival Michigan...it should be interesting !
