Notre Dame vs Michigan!!
We had a great weekend to have such bad weather! Bruce and I went to the pep rally and ended up finding 3 tickets for the big game on Saturday. Notre Dame playing Michigan is the equivalent to the Iron Bowl, considering we are about a half hour from the Michigan state line. So we called Bob and told him we had a ticket, and that was his birthday present (his b'day is Sept. 24) We went to the pep rally, got to hear Lou Holtz speak, and saw the 1988 National Championship team! Lou Holtz was like Bear Bryant to Notre Dame...he had an amazing career and it was really motivating to hear him talk about his love for the school! We got up early Saturday morning and had breakfast at Macadoo's, a little Irish resturaunt that is known for their biscuits and gravy, and this southern girl loves some biscuits and gravy! We finished their and headed to pick up Bob...then we went on to the stadium ...we parked and and a shuttle took us up to the stadium..and then we went to see if there were any tickets left to buy...luckily there was and we got one for Billie , Bob's girlfriend, and we walked around the campus checking everything out..it was so much fun! even though the weather was yucky..everyone was so pumped up about the big game...we finally got Billie there and we headed into the stadium..we got to sit together..and it was a blast! Notre Dame scored 21 points in the first few minutes ....it had stopped raining but as soon as the second quarter started...the rain came in and never stopped...but it didn't stop the game lol...and even the Michigan fans stuck around till about the fourth quarter...the final score was 35-17...so it was worth it ..even in the rain..to see Michigan get beat ! GO IRISH!!!!
